Co-Living has been around for decades in all shapes and sizes. At MEGA, it simply refers to a group of unrelated adults that cohabitate a space. In this case, a group of 2-3 adults (typically working professionals) who live together in a single-family home. Each member of the household has their own private room, and share common areas such as a living room, dining room, kitchen, and bathroom.
Co-Living is a great alternative to the traditional rental model, as it is more affordable, easier to access, and has the added benefit of providing a sense of community and friendship with like-minded individuals.
Why rent an entire apartment with more space than you need? Save your hard-earned cash, and spend it on more important things! Rooms in our Co-Living Homes are very affordable, ranging between $650-$850 per month including all utilities, high-speed internet, and furnishings.
Maybe you're new to the area, or the pandemic has you feeling more isolated. Whatever the case, we all have a need for social contact. Especially in the remote work/school era, we find ourselves spending even more time at home in our rooms. This is where Co-Living comes in! You have the privacy and comfort of your bedroom, but the benefits of shared common space.
Co-Living rental prices include everything. Water, electric, gas, sewer, high-speed WiFi, repairs, maintenance, landscaping, snow removal, etc. We've got it all covered. All you need to worry about is your monthly rent payment, and that's it. No surprises or hidden costs.
All of our Co-Living homes come furnished, and we are flexible. Have your own bed you want to keep? No problem. In need of a bed, desk, or bookshelf? We will do our best to help (within reason, of course).
No need to worry about committing to a one-year lease. We offer flexible lease terms so you can stay flexible too. We require is a minimum term of 30 days, after which we continue month-to-month for as long as you want to stay. Cancel anytime. Want to sign a lease for a longer term? That is possible as well.
Your safe and comfortable stay is our top priority. All of our homes are secured by keypad door locks, and the codes are changed each time a tenant moves in or out. This way we ensure only current and registered people have access to the home at any time. All tenants are subject to a screening process to ensure that all members of the household are respectful, upstanding citizens with a track record of responsible behavior.
We are not landlords. We do not lord over you. But we will help you to enjoy your stay however we can. Our management team is 100% in-house. We do not outsource. For this reason, we are able to provide you with the highest level of care and attention. Gone are the days of unresponsive, rude, scummy landlords. If you're relatively stable with no plans to move in the future, and you can afford to save up enough cash to cover the down payment, closing costs, and any upfront repair costs then buying is probably your best bet. But if you don't have a stockpile of cash available to buy your own house, or if you're just not comfortable buying in these uncertain times (not to mention how outrageous home prices have been), then it may be wise to consider renting.
We have both medium-term (month-to-month) and long-term (6+ months) options available. Generally, your rent is lower for the long-term lease, but your responsibilities are greater. See the differences below.
If you plan to stay for 6 or more months, then you fall into the long-term category. Long-term leases are more affordable than medium-term, but your responsibilities are greater. You are responsible for lawn care, snow removal, contracting utilities, and furnishing the home. We take care of all repairs, maintenance, and taxes. So you won't have to worry about any of that.
If you need a temporary home for you and your family, then a medium-term lease is for you. These are month-to-month leases you can cancel anytime. Medium-term leases are a bit more expensive than long-term, but you also get more bang for your buck. These homes typically come furnished, and most upkeep is our responsibility. That means no repairs, maintenance, yard work, snow removal, etc. You are responsible for the utility costs, but we will contract them on your behalf and bill you for your actual usage.
